Introducing the Band
"High Desert Sky” is a high energy cover band that plays some of the best country and alternative rock music hit songs from the 90’s to today. We are a 5 piece band which includes both male and female lead singers, fiddle, lead guitar, bass guitar, and drums. Male lead vocalist, Sean Blumhardt, is an award winning vocalist and has been playing music all over Colorado for 10 years including with previous band “Latigo” and acoustically before forming the band High Desert Sky. The twins (Kevin and Ken) started their music journey in Seattle WA. It has taken them around the world and back again. Kevin plays the lead guitar and Ken plays the bass guitar. Erika, fiddle and vocals, has experience in many bands and plays/sings high quality fiddle licks, lead vocals, and harmony vocals. On the Drums, Jack lays the beat down all night for everyone to dance and feel the energy of the music. We are based out of Grand Junction and look forward to performing at your venue as soon as possible.
Our Story
After moving to Grand Junction, CO on the Western Slope, Sean Blumhardt was gigging acoustically all around the valley for about 3 years. He was introduced to Ericka, the fiddle player, through a mutual friend and they decided to start a band together. Ericka had played music with the twins Kevin and Ken for years prior and brought them into the group. The final piece of the puzzle was Jack, the drummer. Jack and Sean were brought together through their mutual love of rock climbing. After learning that Jack was a talented drummer he was invited to join the band and just like that the band was complete. Now "High Desert Sky" has been performing for over a year together at all the popular venues around the Grand Valley and are continuing to extend their reach by playing and fairs and events all around the State of Colorado.
